The Mechanics Bank Contribution Request Guidelines
General Request Guidelines:
We receive many requests for contributions each year. The following are general guidelines for organizations seeking support:
|
- 501(c)3 status with the IRS
- Use of funds to support programs that directly reach beneficiaries, not for administrative purposes
- Sound administrative and financial practices
- Regular self-evaluation and public reporting
- Clear objectives
- Active citizen board of directors
|
Additionally, we consider the educational value of the request, the reputation of the organization, the geographical area of service, the number of people directly benefiting from the contribution and the value a project will add to the life of the community.
|
