Using the "Take Me To" links

Online Banking's "Take Me To" feature allows you to choose what online banking page you would like navigate to when you sign in. This allows added convenience for you - navigate to a specific area for faster service!

To use the "Take Me To" feature, enter your Access ID. Then from the drop down menu, choose your destination and click "Log In." Once you log in, you will be taken to your chosen page.

The default to the "Take Me To" feature is Account List, which is the Online Banking home page. Other options include: Express Transfer, Primary Account Summary, Stop Payments, User Options, Nicknames, Transaction Search, and Transaction Export.

Where do I enter my password?

We are changing the way you sign in to Online Banking to better safeguard the privacy and security of your personal information. Previously, you signed in to Online Banking using your Access ID and Password. From now on, you'll also use your Enhanced Online Security feature, which consists of an authentication image and authentication pass phrase. Here's how this new service will work:
  • You'll enter your Access ID and click the Log In button.
  • On the next page, your authentication image will then be displayed. If you recognize your authentication image, you'll know you can safely enter your Password. If you don't recognize your authentication image and pass phrase when you log in, do not enter your password.
  • Your authentication image and pass phrase helps you know for sure that you are at the valid Mechanics Bank website.
NOTE: If you have not yet created your personalized authentication image and pass phrase with our Enhanced Online Security feature, you will be prompted to do so before you can sign in to Online Banking.

A Real Time Environment
Your account activity in Basic Business Banking allows you to see items that are memo-posted (transactions that have been presented to the account) to your account, such as ACH transactions coming in that day, checks clearing, deposits made that day, check card activity, etc. You will be able to see these under Transactions/Current Business Day.

Enhanced Security
With Basic Business Banking, you can choose your own Access ID and password. We've also included security questions and answers as part of the enrollment process to further enhance security. This additional security process is known as Multifactor Authentication (MFA), and it helps ensure your security online.

Loan Transaction Capability
Want to make an extra principal reduction to your car loan or schedule a payment on your home equity loan from your checking account - but it's Sunday afternoon? Now you can! Go to Express Transfer and it's done.

Account Nicknames
Do you have many different savings accounts, each for a specific reason, but you can't remember which one is which? Now you can put a nickname on your accounts such as Vacation Fund, Loan Payments, Education Fund, Real Estate Taxes, etc. Look for this under User Options.

View & Print Your Statement & Checks
You can view and print your current statement and cleared checks online. Use the print option under the file menu near the top of the page.
